Obituary
HEASLIP, Miriam Isobelle (Norton)- On Wednesday, October 19, 2011at Blackadar Continuing Care Centre in Dundas, in her 97th year. Predeceased by her husband John Harold (1980) and daughter Judyann (1966). Loving mother of John Arthur (Lois) of Dundas and James Mathias (Cathie) of Burlington. Also survived by 10 grand children and 8 great grand children. Sister of Phyllis Gillespie of Ottawa and the late Frances, Grace and Bert. Miriam was a life-long citizen of Grimsby and it’s Citizen of the Year in 1992. She was intensely proud of her family and her community. The family would like to thank the staff at Maplecrest Village in Grimsby and especially Pat Belmore, with whom Miriam could always share a laugh. As well the staff at Blackadar’s who made Mom comfortable until the end. A family service has taken place with interment at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery. Donations in Miriam’s memory may be made to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation or Centennial Park Baptist Church.
