Obituary for Edith (nee Green) Shirton
SHIRTON, Edith (nee Green) - At Extendicare on Saturday, February 16, 2008. Much loved wife of the late Donald C. Shirton (1979). Beloved mother of Doreen Heil, Gail Alexander, Glen Shirton (Darlene), Bonnie Marr (Alvin). Cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Loving sister of Cecil Green (Alice) of Elliot Lake and predeceased by Alice Spring, Vernon (Joyce) Green and Harold Green. Will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. The family wish to thank the staff at Extendicare for their loving care and patience while our mother was there. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service will take place at the Downtown Chapel of BUTLER FUNERAL HOME (33 Duke Street, St. Catharines 905- 684-2334) in May. Time and date to be confirmed. 10994329

spring, alice L. At the I.O.O.F. Home, Barrie on Sunday September 14, 2003. Alice L. Green of Barrie in her 88th year. Beloved mother of Elwood Roy Spring and his wife Sandra of Ottawa, Robert Charles Spring and his wife Florence of Orillia, Barbara Jean Dobson and her late husband Raymond of Barrie and the late Baby Margaret Rose. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Dear sister of Edith Shirton of St. Catharines, Cecil Green of Elliot Lake and the late Vernon, Harold, and Alvin Green. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME Clapperton & Worsley Streets, Barrie on Monday 7:00-9:00 p.m. Service in the chapel on Tuesday September 16th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Barrie Union Cemetery.
