- Baptized on June 07, 1807, the daughter of John & Alice Kirk. Her father John was a filemaker in Hillfoot, Sheffield. She Emigrated to Canada in a sailboat about 1845 with her four children. About. 1847 Ann moved to Attercliffe settlement in Ont. Canada with her four sons. Here she joined her brother, Dr. John Kirk who emigrated earlier and established Attercliffe, Ont. and became the area's most famous pioneer.
